The Nepalese team has left for Vietnam to participate in The ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon). The robot competition was started in 2002. Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union is organizing this competition. The goal of organizing this competition is to create friendships among young people with similar interests who will lead their countries in the 21st century, as well as help advance engineering and broadcasting technologies in the region. Students from 12 countries are participating in the competition.
The participants' countries are Cambodia, China, Egypt, Hong Kong-China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam. 6 students from the Pulchok campus and Bijay Burma, a senior Broadcaster of Nepal Television, are participating.
