Erica and Santoo honored with excellent awards

Erica Gurung of Karate and Santoo Shrestha of Table Tennis have been selected as the best in the NOC Award 2024 organized by the Nepal Olympic Committee. Erica was awarded the best female player and Santoo was awarded the best male player during a special event held on Sunday. Erica won a silver medal at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. Similarly, Santoo was selected for the Olympics to be held in Paris this year.

Kushal Shrestha of karate for men and Parvati Rai of Kabaddi for women Kabaddi were declared among the best coaches. Erica's coach at the Hangzhou Asian Games was Kushal. Similarly, Parvati was the coach of the bronze medal-winning women's Kabaddi team at the Hangzhou Asian Games. Similarly, Palesha Govardhan of Taekwondo received the Para Athletic Award. She won a bronze medal in the Hangzhou Para Asian Games and was also selected for the Para Olympics in Paris.

Nepal Volleyball Association was declared the best association of the year 2024. Similarly, 'Presidential Recognition' was given to the All Nepal Kabaddi Association, Nepal Karate Federation, Nepal Taekwondo Association, and mountaineer and archery player Pasang Bhote. Dhurba Tuladhar in print, Nabin Luitel in online media, Ujwal Dangol in sports photojournalist, and Pradeep Lekhi in sports video journalist were declared the best in journalism awards.

The program was organized on the occasion of Olympic Day.
