Nepal's World Cup dream shatter by UAE

The UAE has remained unbeaten and has qualified for the T20 World Cup from Asia next year. Nepal were all out for 79 runs in 19.4 overs while chasing the winning target of 128 runs. Indu Barma, Nepal's opener, scored 15 runs off 20 balls, including one four. Sita Ranamagar was dismissed for 13 runs in eight balls, including three fours. No other batsman managed to reach double figures.

Kavita Kunwar 4, Ruvina Chhetri Belbase 2, Sarita Magar 8, Kavita Joshi 1 and Karuna Bhandari were out for 2 runs. Kajal Shrestha was out for 8, Apsari Begum for 4 and Karuna Bhandari for 2. UAE's Samayara Dharanirka took 4 wickets for 5 runs in 4 overs. Khushi Sharma and Chamani Seneviratne took 2-2 wickets. Chaya took 1 wicket in the name of Mughal.

Nepal's Kavita Kunwar took 2 wickets for 21 runs in 4 overs. Sabnam Rai, Sita Ranamagar and Sangita Rai took 1-1 wickets. Nepal had lost the first match by 6 wickets to Hong Kong. They defeated Bhutan by 8 wickets, Kuwait by 9 wickets and Malaysia by 6 wickets. UAE has reached the global selection with 10 points in 5 games. Nepal finished second with 6 points, including 3 wins and 2 losses in 5 games.
