The busyness of Nepalese blind climber Amit KC has increased a lot in recent days. He is planning to climb Mt. Everest next week and is raising the necessary expenses as well. The Nepalese Government has already given him permission to climb Mt. Everest. The government has also provided financial assistance of Rs 1 million.

KC is being assisted by various organizations as well as individuals. However, as the required expenses have not been raised yet, his fundraising program is likely to go on for a few more days, says KC. KC has informed that his goal is to hoist the flag of Nepal on the summit of Everest by making the ascent successful.

So far, he has climbed 6,186 meters high Island Peak, 6,654 meters high Mera Peak and 6,119 meters high Lobuche Mountain.

During his first attempted summit of Mt. Everest in 2017, he had reached an altitude of 8,000 meters. However, when the weather suddenly changed, they were forced to return without completion.

After the Nepalese Government banned people with disabilities from climbing mountains, Amit KC went to the Supreme Court to file a case against the law.

After the Supreme Court issued an order in favor of persons with disabilities, he began working to make his dream of reaching the summit of Mt. Everest come true.

The first blind climber to reach the summit of Mount Everest was Eric Weihenmayer of the United States in 2001. The second climber to reach the summit of Mount Everest was from Austria.

Last year, China's Zhang Hong climbed Mount Everest as the world's third and Asia's first blind climber.

If Amit KC succeeds, he will be the fourth blind climber in the world and the second blind climber in Asia.
