KMC’s Department of Environment Chief Hari Kumar Shrestha told NepalNews that the Waste Management Division has already started collecting and carrying away the waste to the landfill sites.

Although garbage collection had resumed in Kathmandu for over some days, the major thoroughfares of the Valley are still littered with solid waste.

The KMC has stated that all the garbage in Kathmandu Valley will be cleared within a week.
