Martyr's Week

On the first day of Martyrs' Week, a memorial meeting was held at the place where Shukraraj Shastri attained immortality.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the federal democratic system of governance has been possible in the country at present because of the sacrifice made by the martyrs.

Martyrs Ganga Lal Shrestha and Dasharath Chand have been commemorated by offering bouquets on their statues.

On the fourth day of Martyr's Week, a wreath is laid at the statue of Martyr Dharma Bhakta Mathema.

The Martyr's Week has commenced from today. During this week, the nation pays tribute to the four martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the well-being of the country and people as well as their freedom.
