Leaders of different political parties have said that the guilty of cooperative fraud cases should be booked.

At an interaction programme here Saturday, the speakers said that whoever involved in the embezzlement of the cooperative organization's properties should be punished as per the law.

They argued that those recommended for punishment by the parliamentary special probe committee should be brought to the book.

Nepali Congress leader and former minister Bhimsen Das Pradhan said that President of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and former Deputy Prime Minister Rabi Lamichhane should be punished as per the probe committee's recommendation.

Saying that much of the things are clear in the probe committee's report, Pradhan rebuffed the advocacy of Rabi Lamichhane and his supporters.

Likewise, Pradhan said that Nepali Congress Vice President Dhanraj Gurung should immediately resign from the post of party vice president and Member of Parliament to cooperate with the government agencies in cooperative fraud cases.

Also speaking at the event, CPN (UML) leader and former minister Sher Bahadur Tamang said some people are still fabricating the issue even after the parliamentary probe committee's report on cooperative organizations' scams was released. "We should remain alert on this," he urged.

Similarly, CPN (Maoist Centre) leader and Member of Parliament Lekhnath Dahal argued that the involvement of RSP President Lamichhane was still not confirmed.
