Supreme Court dismisses writ petition against UML land donation

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has dismissed the writ petition filed against the land donated by Bhatbhateni Supermarket Chairman Min Bahadur Gurung for the construction of the CPN (UML)'s Central Office.

A joint bench of Justices Abdul Aziz Musalman and Bal Krishna Dhakal dismissed the writ petition.

The writ petition filed against the announcement of land donation was dismissed by a joint bench of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has posted the details of the dismissal of the writ petition on its website a while ago. However, the details of the order have not been made public.

Bhatbhateni Chairman Gurung had announced the donation of 10 ropanis and 14 annas of land to UML.

On 12 Kartik, the Supreme Court had ordered the construction of the building not to proceed through a short-term interim order. The same case was dismissed after a full hearing.
