The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has asked one and all not to be guided by the misinformation taking place to mislead the common people towards the banking sensitive sector.
Issuing a notice on Tuesday, the central bank has urged the investors, depositors, clients and stakeholders to confidently continue banking transactions.
The NRB has also stated that its serious attention was drawn to the misleading statements and misinformation given by some individuals and groups regarding the operation and stability of the banks and financial institutions (BFIs) that are being run under the direct regulation and supervision of the central bank.
The central bank has also mentioned that the banking sector was the backbone of the country's economy and the NRB is carrying out monitoring and supervision of the banks on a regular basis to maintain stability of the BFIs and promote public trust.
