Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has raised the price of petroleum products by Rs 5. The present price of petrol is now Rs 160 per liter, starting today, Wednesday, April 6.
The hike in the price has lead to public transport fare raise as well prices. "The rise in the price of petrol isn't good, but we understand that it comes from compulsion and necessity for the government. We as consumers need to reduce our petroleum consumption," says Kumari Petrol Pump at Battisputali road.
As per NOC's press release, in the next 15 days, a loss of more than 15 million has been foresighted with a report of 10 million already loss in the sale of petrol, diesel, and LP gas.
