Umbrella organizations stress for economic improvement

Two big umbrella organizations of the private sector have pledged to collaborate with each other for placing measures to resolve the problems that have surfaced in the economy.

Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Confederation of Nepalese Industries expressed mutual solidarity to jointly move ahead to resolve problems of the country's economy.

Both the organizations made the shared commitment at a programme organized today at the CNI Secretariat to congratulate and welcome the newly-elected working committee of the FNCCI.

In a press release issued by CNI, its Chair Bishnu Kumar Agrawal highlighted the need of collaboration for framing private sector friendly laws required to improve the economy in the present challenging time.

"He called for coordinated efforts of the umbrella organizations to come up with measures to resolve problems facing the private sector in the present time", the release stated, underlining the need for united efforts of the private sector to have their problems addressed.

FNCCI Chairperson Chandra Prasad Dhakal had also expressed his solidarity to the united move of the private sector so as to make the economy dynamic and tackle the prevailing problems in the economy, reads the press release. He expressed the confidence that problems would be resolved with the coordinated efforts in place.

Also present on the occasion were CNI vice-chairperson Hemraj Dhaka, governing council member Shiva Ratan Sarada and Yogeswor Lal Shrestha among others.
