DAOs issue safety guidelines, urge to celebrate Holi at home

The District Administration Offices in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur have urged one and all to adopt the safety measures to stem the spread of novel coronavirus.

With the resurgence of coronavirus cases within the country and abroad, the DAOs in the valley have appealed to people to follow the safety measures.

Issuing a press release, the DAOs have urged the general public not to gather at public places. The use of mask, sanitiser and maintaining the physical distance have been made mandatory.

In view of the upcoming Holi festival, the authorities have also appealed to people to celebrate Holi within homes.

Public gatherings and events during the colour festival that falls on March 28 in the capital and on 29 outside the valley have been banned.

The DAOs have further issued a warning that those not wearing masks and not following the safety measures will be prosecuted as per the Communicable Disease Act 2020.
