In memory of 2 journalists who died in helicopter crash

24 people lost their lives in a helicopter crash on September 23, 2006 in Taplejung's Ghunsa. In which 24 people died including forest and environment sector. In that accident, the then Minister of State Gopal Rai and his wife's, ex-minister and senior environmental expert Dr Hark Gurung has passed and 2 journalists of Nepal Television also lost their lives in the accident.

Reporter Hemraj Bhandari and camera person Sunil Singh were killed in the accident.

Hemraj Bhandari of Rolpa, a student who studied at Budhanilkanth School in Kathmandu on a scholarship. After graduation, he got an opportunity to work in the advance desk of Nepal Television. Similarly, Sunil Singh came to Kathmandu for employment from Sarlahi. He got a job in Nepal Television after training.

On, the first helicopter trip of both of them was to Taplejung in which both of them lost their lives.

During a natural disaster, it is better to go to the helicopter for relief.
