International Krishna Consciousness Association Baglung is going to bring foreign artists on the day of Mahashivaratri on February 2 in Baglung.
More than 25 foreign artists from 10 countries have started coming to Baglung to present a religious and cultural program on Mahashivaratri, informed Achyut Das (Pradeep Bhandari), head of the International Association of Krishna Consciousness Baglung. Along with the artist, Russian army officer Professor Dr. Igor Ovlongkov will also come.
He said that Mahashivratri is a big festival of Nepali Hindus and that they are going to bring foreign artists to Baglung to preserve its importance and originality and promote it abroad.
He said that the association has been conducting religious programs to protect and promote art, culture, and religious traditions. “Mahashivaratri carries great significance, our religion, culture, and traditions lack protection,
If they can be propagated and promoted, lakhs of religious tourists can be brought into Nepal, for the same purpose we have tried to help in promotion by holding a small program on Shivratri", he said. On the same day, local artists will also perform religious cultural dances and other performances.
