Nothing compares to the fun and charm of the '90s cartoons when it comes to animated shows. The kids would hum the catchy theme songs and chat with their pals about the shows' stories during that innocent era. Even if the '90s generation has successfully maintained their love of cartoons into adulthood, shows like 'Tom & Jerry', which used to be simple and fun like our childhood, have been replaced with shows like 'BoJack Horseman', which is better adapted to the realities of our current age. However, it does not mean that we can't indulge in some '90s nostalgia and reminisce those memories.
'Tom and Jerry'
No list of favourite ‘90s cartoons is complete without mentioning 'Tom and Jerry'. Created in 1940 by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, this influential and revolutionary cartoon about the classic trope of “cat chasing the mouse” won several Oscars.
'Batman: The Animated Series'
Based on the well-known DC Comics Superhero Batman, it is one of the best-animated series from the 1990s. This show is known for its voice acting, characters, darker tone, graphics, and combat.
'Dexter’s Laboratory'
This fantastic Cartoon Network programme must have captivated everyone who liked science and experiments. One of the most iconic cartoon settings will always be Dexter's lab, which in a manner is similar to the Batcave.
'Popeye'
The show, which inspired kids to eat spinach, resonated well with those who lacked confidence or were afraid to fight back when bullied. The beloved character first appeared in the daily King Features comic strip 'Thimble Theatre'.
‘Johnny Bravo’
The show follows a self-centred, muscular, blonde-haired womanizer, who resembles and sounds like Elvis and never takes his sunglasses off. Johnny Bravo's catchphrase “oh, momma!” probably still makes people hear his voice in their heads.
