Actor Paul Shah, who was found guilty by Nawalpur District Court in the case of sexual abuse of a minor, has appealed against this in the Pokhara High Court.
Shah's legal practitioner Kamala Mohan Wagle informed that a petition was filed in the High Court on Friday demanding that the district court's verdict be overturned and acquitted.
The Nawalpur court found Shah guilty of child abuse and sentenced him to two-and-a-half years in prison, a fine of Rs 25,000, and a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the victim. Shah's case is pending in Tanahun district court in a case of the same nature.
He is currently in Tanahun prison.
