Nepal Police inspector Bhupendra Budhathoki received a YouTube silver play button after achieving the milestone of 1 lakh subscribers.
Bhupendra resident of Dang is not just an accomplished officer holding the rank of an inspector, but he is also a gifted songwriter. Budhothoki says he has a clear vision for his role as a police inspector. He believes firmly in the principle that no one is above the law and is committed to bringing the essence of policing to life until his last day in the service. Beyond his duties as a police inspector, he has a passion for songwriting, he has been busy with his profession but he has made a bucket list to continue his passion by composing a song once a year. His hard work and creativity paid off when his first song Hami Nepal Prahari was released in 2018, followed by the release of his second hit song Phool Bhanau Jindagilai. This song was uploaded on his own YouTube channel and has since received over 11 million views, garnering him national recognition in the form of a music award for his beautiful lyrics. He has received two music awards for his work.
He shared that he does not put other videos on YouTube except his songs as he is afraid of getting negative comments from people. He said, “I didn’t create my Youtube channel to earn money, but I aimed to gain fame and make my songs evergreen.” He said, “No one is immortal but songs composed by people are forever remembered.” This quote speaks volumes about his commitment to his craft and his passion for music.”
