Request to freeze Paul Shah's bank accounts

The District Public Prosecutor's Office, Nawalpur, has demanded the court to freeze the money in actor Paul Shah's bank accounts.

The indictment in the case filed in the District Court, Nawalpur on Thursday seeks an order from the concerned bank to withhold the money from Shah's bank for the purpose of compensating the victim.

According to Shah's bank account details demanded by the District Police Office, Shah has Rs. 1,610,291 in Global IME Bank and Rs. 4,25,000 in NMB Bank.

The indictment states that the amount is requested to be withheld by the concerned bank in order to prevent the withdrawal of the amount as per Rule (11) (5) of the Criminal Procedure Code, 2075 BS. Shah has also been asked to make arrangements to get the amount as per Section 41 (5) of the Crime Victims Protection Act, 2075 BS by depositing it in the Victims Relief Fund.

The public prosecutor had filed a case in the district court on Thursday with the conclusion that Shah had raped the minor.
