Akash Sedhai, 27, of Adarsh Tol in Jhapa Birtamod Municipality-4 has been arrested from Kaushaltar, Bhaktapur on the charge of physically and mentally harassing the public in the name of ridicule.
According to the Cyber Bureau, the District Court, Kathmandu, arrested him on Tuesday and allowed him to conduct a further investigation for seven days today as he had posted a secret video on YouTube channel in the name of ridicule, causing physical and mental stress to the public.
The cyber bureau has become active after the government announced on January 29 that action would be taken against those who 'posted' prank videos taken in public places on social media.
The Ministry of Home Affairs may take any kind of photograph without the permission of the person taking into consideration the mental stress, debates and conflicts, negative impact on social harmony and peace and order, and personal privacy and reputation. And urged not to publish on social media.
