Image Ark along with Piano Piano South conducted ‘The Art Market’ yesterday, May 7. This year, the theme of the market was ‘Summer splash cool as melon’. Young artists and entrepreneurs flooded the market, displaying various forms of art; from second-hand-dyed clothes to paintings, aesthetic stickers and more. With soothing live music playing in the background, the market was the perfect place for anyone into art.

With the motive of providing young, contemporary artists a platform to display their arts, The Art Market which was held at Piano Piano South, was first held in 2015 with The Yellow House. The Art Market is Image Ark’s attempt to provide guidance to young entrepreneurs and artists as they have little to no knowledge about setting their art up, selling them or knowing customers. “We want to give young artists a chance to interact with customers and understand the real market firsthand. We have been organizing it all these years on a monthly basis. But during the rainy season we had to stop the market”, Marie Ange Sylvain, the creative director of Image Ark says.
