One person died in a road accident on the East-West highway at Vankatwa, Vaijnath Rural Municipality-5, Banke. Ain Bahadur Malla, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Kohalpur, informed that the driver of the van, Ram Bahadur Kunwar, a resident of Bansgarhi Municipality-4 Bardia, was killed in an accident where a mini truck, a magic van and a motorcycle collided.
According to him, a mini truck with number VE1K 2196 going west, a van with number VE1J 449 coming towards Kohalpur and a motorcycle with VE11P 2800 collided. Nine passengers were injured in the accident. Deputy Superintendent of Police Mall said that the injured are being treated at Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur.
