2 arrested with 10,000 fake ballot papers

Two people have been arrested from Birgunj with fake ballot papers and Swastik stamps.

33-year-old Rajan Singh of Birgunj Metropolitan Ward No. 16 Inaruwa and 23-year-old Amiri Raut Kurmi of Barako Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan Ward No. 16 were arrested by a joint team of Nepal Police and Armed Police.

A team led by Armed Police Inspector Rabindra Bhatt of Armed Police Force Border Out Post Birganj and Police Inspector Vishal Malla of Ward Police Office Birgunj seized fake ballot papers and cash while checking the car on Thursday night. 

Tej Prasad Pokharel, Chief Armed Police Inspector of Armed Police Force No. 13 Headquarters Parsa informed that 10,000 fake ballot papers, 250 swastika stamps, 48 ​​stamp pads, and 272,000 cash were seized while checking the car coming from Kalaiya direction at Birgunj Bus Park area.

About 300 fake ballots were found to indicate votes on cycle marks. According to the District Police Office Parsa, an investigation is being carried out regarding the constituency for which they went with fake ballot papers and money.

They have been handed over to the Chief Electoral Officer's office in Parsa for necessary action along with fake ballot papers and cash.
