According to Bizpati news, Thai AirAsia's general manager for Asia, Suresh Nair, and the Prime Minister's wife Arju Rana, reached a deal in Baluwatar, allowing AirAsia to get permission to fly despite the outstanding balance of 180 million.

Air Asia X, which has been flying in Nepal from 2012 to 2018, has tried to get a flight permit through another sister organization, Thai Air Asia, by setting up a new general sales agent. According to sources, Thai AirAsia has received a green signal from Baluwatar for flight permission.

But the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAN) has dismissed the propaganda. Along with the issue of the flight permit, the issue of 180 million in arrears owed by AirAsia X has also been discussed again.

At that time, Air Asia X, which was flying in Nepal, has been criticized for giving permission to fly to its sister organization, Thai Air Asia, without paying nearly 180 million dues to Nepal.

According to sources, the Prime Minister's wife Arju Rana had been trying for a long time to allow Thai AirAsia to fly. Sources claim that he called Thai AirAsia representative Suresh Nair to Kathmandu and gave a green signal. Deuba's son Jayveer was also present in the deal in Baluwatar. Air Asia owes Nepal Tourism Board Rs 70 million, Tribhuvan Airport and other charges Rs 11 million. Thai AirAsia currently owns 59 percent of Thai AirAsia and 49 percent of AirAsia X.
