There is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in some parts of the hilly region in the country due to the effect of the westerly winds today.
According to Barun Paudel, a meteorologist at the Weather Forecast Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, light rainfall with thunder and lightning is likely in some places of the Tarai belt of Lumbini Province this afternoon.
There is a possibility of light rainfall in some parts of the hilly region in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces tonight, Paudel said. At present, the impact of westerly wind is expected in the country.
