Finance Minister and Nepali Congress leader Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat on Saturday claimed that almost all changes have taken place in the country under NC leadership.
“Through the Rana regime and Panchyat system, changes ranging from bringing the Maoist onboard the peace process to the promulgation of the federal democratic republic constitution have taken place under NC leadership,” he said while addressing a gathering of party’s cadres organised here in Pokhara by the NC, Gandaki Province.
He urged party cadres to come together to consolidate the party that has carried a long history and believes in the rule of law.
There is a need for launching people centric programmes for the economic progress and prosperity in the country. “Unlimited aspirations should be addressed with the availability of limited resources. Some development projects have been set aside this year due to decline in revenue collection,” he said. ---
