The distribution of citizenship has begun from the local administration office in Rampur, Palpa and the residents are enthusiastic about it. The number of customers has also grown recently. Every day, more people are arriving to apply for citizenship.
According to the head of the office, Bhagwan Bhakta Aryal, said that, "the number of people coming to apply for citizenship has increased due to local level elections, the impending federal and state elections, the distribution of national identity cards, and the number of people coming to apply for citizenship as soon as they reach age is increasing."
Initially, citizens were not interested in making their citizenship until after the emergency, due to the problem of going to Tansen's headquarters. Citizens of East Palpa are greatly relieved after the opening of this office in Rampur, about 65 kilometers east of Tansen.
