Congress leader Bhandari's health improved

The Nepali Congress leader and member of the House of Representatives, Dr. Chandrakant Bhandari, who was injured in the explosion of an LPG gas cylinder, will be stopped from giving artificial oxygen from tomorrow.

Neta Bhandari is undergoing further treatment at the National Burn Center in Mumbai, India from February 4. Congress leader Yograj Kandel informed that he will be kept in a reservoir bag mask only with five litres of oxygen tonight and will be kept in a reservoir bag mask only until tomorrow. According to Dr. Sunil Keshwani of the National Burn Center, Neta Bhandari no longer needs to be kept in the "ET tube" and he informed that the amount of infection is decreasing.

New skin has grown enthusiastically on leader Bhandari's face, but his hands have grown a little, so he will be observed for one more week, and only if necessary, hand grafting will be done, the doctor said. Neta Kandel informed that the doctor said that he could be taken out of ICU (Intensive Burn Care Unit) after four days as he is improving fast.

MP Dr. Bhandari and his mother Harikala Bhandari were injured when a gas cylinder exploded in their residence on the night of February 3rd. After the incident, both of them were treated at Kirtipur Burn Hospital in Kirtipur. Mother Harikala died on Thursday morning during treatment.

Leader Dr. Bhandari was taken to the National Burn Center in Mumbai, India, for further treatment last Thursday by Shree Airlines plane after proper treatment was not possible in Nepal. Leader Bhandari suffered 25-30 percent burns on both his hands and both knees.
