Action has been demanded against those involved in the murder of Anil Pariyar, the Bagmati Pradesh representative of the Nepali Congress, who was killed with a sharp weapon.
Nepali Congress Chitwan, Nepali Congress Bharatpur Metropolitan Committee, Nepali Congress Pradesh Area Working Committee, Nepal Dalit Association, Nepal Students Union and Nepal Tarun Dal have issued separate statements demanding action against those involved in the incident.
A statement issued by NC Chitwan President Rajeshwar Khanal has demanded to find out the facts of the incident of attack and murder on the youths deployed in the election campaign and take action against the culprits. The statement said, "The Nepali Congress is shocked and saddened by the brutal killing of a youth who was deployed in connection with the election campaign."
"We demand the concerned body to find out the facts of the incident as soon as possible and punish the culprits severely," the statement said. Pariyar was killed with a sharp weapon in Krishnapur of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-7. An estimated 30-year-old resident of Bharatpur-12 Milanchowk was killed in an attack by an unidentified group at Bharatpur-7 Krishnapur on Sunday evening. He died while undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College in Pariyar. Meanwhile, a one-hour wheel jam has been held in Bharatpur demanding arrest of the culprits and action against them.
