Madan Rai, an agricultural expert who was arrested on charges of sexual abuse, has been detained for seven days by the Khotang District Court for investigation.

The court has extended 7 days for the investigation in the case of child sexual abuse against Rai. A 75-year-old founder of Diktel-based 'Shubhadra Madan Foundation' had sexually abused female students living in the foundation. He is in the custody of the District Police Office.
