A person has died after being struck by lightning in Nawalparasi (east of Bardaghat-Susta). The deceased has been identified as Dilliram Tharu, 60, of Bhandara in Madhyabindu-6 of the district.
Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Santosh Pathak said that Tharu was struck by lightning while returning home from work. According to Pathak, Tharu died at 5:50 pm while undergoing treatment at Madhyabindu District Hospital. According to Pathak, Tharu was seriously injured in the head and chest by the lightning.
