A man was killed in a brawl between two groups of people during Bishwokarma Puja in Sonma Rural Municipality-7, Mahottari district today.
A dispute among three locals — Ram Prasad Yadav (50) Malesi Sada (35) and Nathu Sada (26) — provoked a brawl in which Yadav was killed, said the police.
Critically injured in the brawl, Yadav became unconscious and fell to the ground, a local resident said and added that he died shortly.
Police rounded up those involved in the brawl for the investigation.
Meanwhile, body of Yadav was sent to Janakpur Provincial Hospital, for the postmortem, said the police.
