A Mauritius delegation led by the newly appointed Ambassador to Nepal, Shanti Bai Hanumanji, has arrived in Kathmandu on a weeklong visit. The six-member delegation is scheduled to visit the Pashupati area on the occasion of the Mahashivaratri festival.

The Mauritian team is also scheduled to visit Pokhara and enjoy viewing the Annapurna Mountain.

Nepal-Mauritius Business Council welcomed the team amidst a function on Monday. On the occasion, Ambassador Hanumanji viewed relations between Nepal and Mauritius could be strengthened via two-country trades.

Council Chairperson Batu Lamichhane also said both the trade relations and tourism promotion could be enhanced by the two countries.

The non-resident Mauritian Ambassador to Nepal, Hanumanji, will present the letter of credence to President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Wednesday.
