Gauti BK lamented that her husband was sent to work in India even at the risk of corona as he could not find employment in the village to support his family. He said that he used to feed his children by beating ballast during the day. "We hurled stones at the river for our livelihood, but even those stones are stuck in the river without being sold," said another victim, Janakala BK.
