Nepalese Migrant Unity Network (NeMUN), Europe, on Thursday organized a gathering to help the government of Nepal in Coronavirus pandemic.
The gathering also announced the formation of the ‘COVID-19 Challenge Fund’ of Rs 5 million to fight against COVID-19 pandemic in Nepal. The gathering decided to invest the fund to purchase health supplies including an oxygen concentrator machine as well as fruits and food which would be distributed in honour of health workers providing services round the clock putting their lives at risk.
On the occasion, Professor of Huddersfield University, London, Dr Padam Simkhada, presented a working paper regarding the vulnerable situation of COVID-19 pandemic in Nepal and the world’s experience to combat COVID-19.
