In Nepal, WBC Muay Thai Nepal was established on 27 august 2021 at Budhanilkantha, Municipality -05, Kathmandu Nepal. This was to produce professional Muay Thai athletes and compete in the international arena and to organize International championship for nepali athletes
WBC Muay Thai is happening on February 2 to 6 in Hua Hin Thailand where more than 50 countries will be participating and the world championship title will be crowned. Genji Rai (31kg), Lal Bahadur Tamang (53kg) and DigBijay Singh Rathour (63kg) are preparing and training to represent Nepal in this world championship. Raju Rai and Puran Rokaya will be participating as official team members.
The WBC Muay Thai was established in 2004, under the World boxing council (WBC) as a non- profitable organization with the mission to develop professional Muay Thai athletes worldwide.
