None above law: General Secretary Sharma

 Nepali Congress General Secretary and House of Representatives member Bishwo Prakash Sharma has said government would bring to book anyone involved in the gold smuggling.

Speaking at a press meet organized by Nepal Press Union Palpa chapter here Monday, General Secretary Sharma viewed Nepali Congress would not be an obstruction at all in bringing to book anyone involved in the gold smuggling.

People involved in the scam irrespective of the post, and position would be investigated thoroughly by the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police, he said, adding that further investigation would be carried out by forming a study team. The study team would divulge multiple sides of gold smuggling, according to him.

Moreover, the General Secretary made it clear that neither the party nor the government protects anyone acting against law. All political parties need to stand together to wipe out corruption and irregularities in the country.

On a different note, he said Nepal is a secular state, so one community should not hurt the sentiment of other. Communal harmony is Nepal's identity.

Every political party has leadership alternative, according to General Secretary Sharma.
