One held for black-marketing of pulse oximeter in Janakpur

Police have arrested one man from Janakpur Sub metropolis-9 in charge of black marketing of pulse oximeter on Sunday afternoon.

The accused has been identified as Bhupnarayan Shah, proprietor of Binita Surgical Store, a 30-year-old, resident of Sukhipur Municipality-2 in Siraha. 

Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the District Police Office nabbed the accused who was selling pulse oximeter at a price higher than the actual cost. The man was selling a pulse oximeter for Rs 2,500-3,000 while the actual cost of one unit is Rs 1,700. 

Meanwhile, security personnel also seized 28 pulse oximeters from the same store.

Further investigation is underway, said the police.
