President Bidya Devi Bhandari sent a message of congratulations to her Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc on his assumption of office of the State President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
In her message, the President mentioned that his election as the President of Vietnam is a testimony to the trust and confidence of the people of Vietnam in his able leadership and recognition of his contribution to the development and prosperity of Vietnam, the press statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
Likewise, Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli also sent a message to his Vietnamese counterpart Pham Minh Chinh extending congratulations on his assumption of office of the Prime Minister of Vietnam.
While recalling his visit to Vietnam in May 2019, the OM Oli expressed his confidence that the bonds of friendship and close cultural ties existing between Nepal and Vietnam will be further strengthened during Chinh’s tenure as the Prime Minister of Vietnam.
