Workers have been barred from working in the open from June 1 to September 15, according to a decision made by Qatar's labor ministry. It is forbidden to work in the open field from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm due to the heat waves as stated by the Embassy of Nepal in Qatar.
In case of violating the decision, a complaint can be lodged with the Ministry of Labor of Qatar.
As summer is extremely hot in the Gulf countries it can be very dangerous. From June to August, highs are around 42/43 C and lows around 30/32 ° C.
A video released by Qatar's Ministry of Labor and the International Labor Organization empashises the need to drink water regularly. And also the need to wear light and loose clothes along with covering their head.
As for the symptoms of heat stroke, the statement says it may include increased heart rate, excessive sweating, feeling weak and tired, painful muscle tightness, headache, dizziness, and nausea.
Employers will not be allowed to deduct or dismiss the salary for this.
