District Court Kathmandu has given permission to keep Nepal government's Secretary, Tek Narayan Pandey, in custody for three days. Secretary Pandey was arrested on the charge of his involvement in sending Nepalis to the USA in the guise of Bhutanese refugees.
According to the District Police Range, Kathmandu, the District Court Kathmandu gave permission to Nepal Police to keep Pandey in custody for three days to forward investigation on the charge of fraud and organised crime.
Receiving the arrest warrant from the court, police arrested Pandey and presented him at the District Court Kathmandu on Wednesday. Pandey was deputed to the Office of the Vice-President.
