The Embassy of China in Kathmandu on Tuesday awarded outstanding students on four different genres including the Chinese language speech contest, Chinese cultural performance and painting competition.
The students were awarded at the finals of the 16th Chinese-Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Secondary Level School Students in Nepal.
On the occasion, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Ashok Kumar Rai congratulated the outstanding students for their performance.
In his remarks, Minister Rai said he was highly impressed from the progress made my China in the area of new innovation and added that China is always a reliable partner and supporter of Nepal.
Rai expressed the confidence that the bilateral exchanges of cooperation on diverse sectors would bring Nepal and China further close and urged for the continuation of academic cooperation and exchanges between the two countries.
On the occasion, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song pledged to co-work with Nepali side for the development of professional and high-quality curriculum development of Chinese language, provide grant in this area and promote the cooperation at a higher level.
Chen said that the Belt and Road Initiative was not only a win-win cooperation but also a mutual learning of civilizations.
