Unauthorized structures along Bagmati banks at Thapathali were removed

Unauthorized structures on the Bagmati banks at Thapathali in Kathmandu have started to be removed. The empowered Bagmati Civilization Integrated Development Committee had tried to remove these structures many years ago, claiming that Bagmati was being polluted by unauthorized construction of structures on public lands in the river's flow area.

To remove these structures, the committee published a notice and proceeded with the work. At that time, the work was stopped under the pressure of various groups.
