The Nepal Doctors Association has decided to stop all non-emergency health services of health institutions across the country on Sunday in protest against the beating of doctors. The association has decided to close all other services except emergency services provided by government and non-government, private, cooperative health institutions, hospitals, private and government medical colleges, institutions and other health institutions across the country.
President of the association Dr. Lochan Karki said that the association has drawn serious attention to the incident in which the police charged batons and injured Dr. Janithalal Singh, a senior orthopedic surgeon of the National Trauma Center, and other doctors and health workers.
