2.3 lakh doses of AstraZeneca vaccine arrive in Kathmandu from Bhutan

The anti-COVID-19 vaccines donated by the Government of Bhutan arrived in Kathmandu today.

Bhutan's Druk Airlines brought the AstraZeneca vaccine to Nepal this morning. After vaccinating the citizens, Bhutan has sent the remaining vaccines to Nepal.

The foreign ministry said about 230,000 doses of vaccines have been provided by Bhutan.

The vaccine provided by Bhutan will be given to the senior citizens who have already been vaccinated with the first dose of Covishield and have been waiting for the booster dose, according to the vaccination branch of the Ministry of Health and Population.
