Youth held for raping minor in Jhapa

Police on Sunday evening arrested a youth on the charge of raping a 9-year-old girl from Mechinagar Municipality-3 in Jhapa.

The accused has been identified as Dipen Karki (19) of Dharmachowk.

Karki allegedly raped the minor on the afternoon of July 18. Bahundagi-based Police Office personnel nabbed Karki based on a tip-off.

Further investigation into the case is underway, informed the police.
