Chief Election Officer Basudev Neupane informed that candidates have been registered for various posts in four municipalities, six villages and 85 wards of Baglung.
In four municipalities, 31 candidates have registered for the post of mayor. Nineteen candidates have registered for the post of deputy chief. In six village municipalities, 25 candidates have registered for the post of chairman and 23 for the post of vice-chairman. Similarly, 265 candidates have registered for the post of ward chairman in 85 wards. According to Neupane, 175 candidates have registered for being women members of wards, 169 for Dalit women members and 409 for members.
