Twenty-three political swamps have been registered in the district for the local level election to be held on April 12.
Sessions parties, including six nationally recognized parties, have submitted details for the election. Chief of the District Election Officer Hari Prasad Dhakal informed that election symbols would be provided to the representatives of all parties.
Individuals other than that party can stand for election independently if they wish to become candidates in the election. He said that the election symbols will be provided to all the parties except the nationally recognized ones as mentioned in their constitution.
In view of the election, 1,200 ballot boxes have been prepared and they have a capacity of 43, 80, and 85 liters.
The final voter list of the district will be published by March 29, said Dhakal. The district needs 1,600 manpower for the election.
