The voting process to elect candidates vying for various posts in Nepali Congress (NC) under its ongoing 14th national general convention has been extended till 9 pm today.
According to the NC election committee's coordinator Gopalkrishna Ghimire, the voting process had begun today itself. Due to a delay in printing ballot papers, the voting process started around four hours late than the original schedule (08.00 am), shared Ghimire.
Considering the number of voters and votes cast till now, the voting time was extended, informed Ghimire. There are a total of 4,743 representatives (voters) in the national convention. Over 2,000 votes were cast till 05.00 pm today, according to the election committee.
