APF Shrestha wins gold medal in women's marathon

Armed Police Force (APF)'s Bindra Dhanke Shrestha won the gold in women's marathon held under the ongoing Ninth National Games in Pokhara. Shrestha finished the 42. 195 kilometer race in two hours 57 minutes and 23 seconds to leave her competitors behind.

 Nepal Army's Bishwarupa Budha completed the race in three hours and 35 seconds to win the silver while Rekha Bista of Nepal Police won the bronze by clocking three hours one minute and 35 seconds to finish the race.
