Nepal has won the gold medal in the 4th Asian Open Taekwondo Championship held in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. Nepal's athlete Indira Basnet won the gold medal in the 67 kg weight group. In the final of the event, she defeated Ali Malah of the host nation Pakistan. In that event, the players of Brunei and Sri Lanka were third.
